Was hat das mit den TV-Zeilen auf sich?

What does this have with the TV lines mean?

Frage von kili:

Hi folks,
I would be interested in views of what it has with TV lines at Camera Specifications away ... Why not simply call vertical pixels? Where's the difference?

And then I went (apparently mistakenly) long assumed would have the PAL ne size of 720x576 pixels. That does not seem to be the case (depending of square or rectangular pixels ... But basically PAL on a computer monitor has 720x576, or because I've always verpeilt something? The wikipedia contribution I have read ... but maybe can someone describe it again in their own words.

Regards:
Kili

Antwort von Meggs:

720 pixels horizontally stored. On the computer screen will be displayed on this stretch of 768 pixels. The lines of horizontal resolution in the actual Resolutiondes camcorder. Which is always smaller than the theoretical potential of the recording format similar to 720, and varies between different DV camcorders.
