Always the latest, best and fastest Mac Pro. 100 Mbit / s is already a decent data rate, because you need quite performance. And take a 23-inch Cinema Display, which has the correct resolution. Synonymous happy for a second. More specifically, you will surely respond PowerMac, which is familiar as well, as its name says.

Pleasant is difficult to summarize. The average Mac Pro goes perfectly. 4 GB of RAM should be about the big-ATI X1900 graphics card. You tend to save the processor because the medium is sufficient synonymous, and to take more RAM. Some perhaps 6 GB. As a hard drive, I recommend a fast internal disk, but the standard plate is synonymous in order. For the video data, I recommend it-ATA solutions. Firewire is synonymous, but is now obsolete (at least as far as the speed of the connection for hard disks is concerned). But all you need is probably one-ATA card (Sonnet). Even internal records by S-ATA are possible, even to the RAID configuration.
As a PC monitor does it all. The Dell are synonymous quite nice. Apple? The 23 "Cinema Display is nice and quite good.
But as synonymous HD monitor is the 23 "Cinema Display to use. If you are still synonymous in the Matrox MXO invest, you have almost official HD monitoring. Other possibilities are the current models of JVC and Quato. I have already something written.

If you have no money, take the current 24 "iMac with 2 GB of RAM. Dran hang you also have a display with 1920x1080 via DVI, some of the Dell. Harddisks you can then via Firewire 800 well retrofit.

Hello and thank you for the answer, especially of powermac ..

'm not very technically adept, it is still some demand.

When Processor: do you mean the 2.66 dual core, or the 3.0? Is yes synonymous nor unaffordable quad core ..

Memory: that there's real quality differences? Hab in nem providers to choose between standard OEM memory and Kingston quality memory "..?

Harddisks: here I am totally confused .. brauch ich ne RAID card (which I can not afford), or is FW800 or ES-ATA, which I only have to know here?
Werd probably the first two internal 500GB disks take, then I need it so ne-ATA card (hab gegoogelt yesterday: the cost to 70 euro, or)?
and what's with the plates themselves: hab with my provider, the choice between an Apple Drive Module 500 GB Serial ATA or 500GB Western Digital Caviar RE SATA II 7200rpm 16MB Cache internal bulk, which is much cheaper. Is still ok?

Thank you for your help,
John

Processor: 2.66 GHz sufficient. The 3.0er is slightly faster, with the eight core is currently quite expensive and pointless, since the performance little used.
RAM: no vendor preference. However the specifications. Very cheap and good Mac RAM available at the DSP. Since the PC is hardly Hoek cheaper.
Hard disks: two 500 GB internal times is enough. The internal plates are used by S-ATA connected. It's best you order the same two times with 500 GB. Can but afaik synonymous yourself. You can synonymous internal disks using software RAID to the switch together. Can not have.
External hard disks: Firewire 400 and 800, USB 2.0 and ATA it is possible. ES-ATA is s.schnellsten. In order adapter plates so you need to have a ES-ATA card. The best A WITH four ports. Firewire 400 and 800 and USB 2.0 are already installed, but not quite as fast.

But beware: it will in the near future, get out new Mac Pro. They are probably around 200 MHz and faster, a newer architecture. So some new graphics cards options, a faster system bus, etc.

And surprisingly, even my 120-Mbit/s-Material averaged completely trouble-free operation via USB is that if I had not thought of. That's good to know if you want an external disk or an external drawer with removable plates used.
