I would like a decision aid for choice of an external microphone for HV40.
I have of the two products CANON DM-50 and one DM-100, but can not find sufficient information. Who has experience with it? Or are there other alternatives?
Reason for the planned acquisition are often very disturbing wind noise in outdoor shots.
Am grateful for any advice! Greeting Goldie

Auja, there are posts about how sand s.Meer and in each fall, the same names: Rode VideoMic Rode Stereomic Sennheiser mke 300 Sennheiser mke 400
Sometimes even the AKG C1000S.
From the microphone from the camcorder manufacturers themselves are offered, my experience is to not to think much. Just show up there for you if one comes into question. Most Popular Rode just the models, the Sennheiser MKE 300 are found and only used the newer plays mke 400, although in the same class, but it should not be synonymous to the burner;)

Hello namesake - funny how you see the funny "despair" convey :-))
@ Goldie: John has already mentioned the usual (and certainly capable) suspects.
I myself have for my HV-20, the Rode StereoVideoMic. For Athmo certainly good, although last time people here in the forum about the Micro complained.
Do I think about the times synonymous for RodeMonoMic for pure voice suited it much better. Actually mics should be so completely disconnected of the camera, but how can the press as a lone?
If you drag the StereoMic on the short list, remember that the fringes hanging from the front like Puschel Lens. You'll have to think of something.
I have for my appearance with the HV-20 tinkered this: Click me!
