Unfortunately, it is not what s.ze for manufacturers and / or model is used because the word is always verschiended.
You can ausgeheb the s.renomierte brands are the verwended be.

Yours sincerely,

Also not to be underestimated: In search of a number of telephone support in the same company website to get with some effort fogende Information:

Well, me's would not really be interested to know how a pig in a poke is, as long as the company still profits ... But perhaps know of someone so randomly you. Precisely because of this "flexibility" of Iomega I then but for a Western Digital My Book Studio decided.
Since it is clear what is inside, WD hard disks. ;-)

The part is with up to 2 TB and has eSATA, USB2, FW400 and FW800 connections. Is quiet (no fan) with me and does s.iMac 24 "without problems. Soger Goes into standby with the calculator! The plate is connected via FW800 and is sauschnell. Ideal for video editing.

After half a year with a 500GB version, I have just bought the 1TB version. Is it first ....

Thanks to you, Isekram. I had the part been synonymous in the view. It helps me but not really next. I need a multi-plate system, which can be RAID 0. With a single disk is the bottleneck in the Zuugriffsgeschwindigkeit.

Look at these times at My Book:

Die Iomega and ähnliche "Doppe-Gehäuse" haben alle einen recht hohen Lämpegel durch einen kleinen fiesen 40mm Lüfter der dran hängt.

Ich habe hier sowas of Pyrogate stehen.

Necessarily take with Firewire 800. No USB 2.0.

Antwort von Isekram:

After I've read through everything again is my question:

Do I need for a live recording in HDV really so much speed that a RAID 0 necessarily be her?

My "My Book Studio FW800 easily achieved with 60MB / s when writing.
Is that not around?

Antwort von deti:

For HDV - or AVCHD bandwidths Raid-0 is the risk not worth it. USB 2.0 is of course synonymous, although in this case, a NAS with Gigabit Ethernet would be universally usable.

If low-loss or lossless codecs used or often copy large amounts of data requires a throughput beyond the 100Mbit / s mark (10MBytes / s). Of course, more bandwidth is better - no question, but technically necessary, it is rare - only expensive ;-)
