Hi!
I have a Handycam DCR-42E of Sonyand Windows XP SP2. If I now the camera via firewire with the computer connections happens: nothing! The camera shows, while accepting that there is a connection, but the computer itself remains silent, and explain the video programs that are not connected.
The FireWire controller is not disabled, has no conflict and it installed the drivers.
What can I MAHC?

Hello,
have a DCR-HC90 and a new PC. Had similar problems with the firewire port on the front had s.meinem housing. Camera was briefly detected, but the connection was like after a few minutes of an invisible hand away again. I did not because I knew the next Calculator completely formatted again and everything repeats. And lo and behold - the camera is recognized ...
But unfortunately now there is another problem: When I launch a program that accesses the Camera (Pinacle, Windows Movie Maker, ..) crash the appropriate program s.and can only terminate or by CTRL + ALT + DEL.
What can I do?
