Zockt Canon Service methodically from? Experiences here!

I've posted to the Canon Ixus-service and expressed as the repair cost limit for 150.00 EUR. The thing was repaired by cash back. Mum had to pay for the handover, however, 181.00 EUR! Synonymous, and did so, the money is, therefore, already gone. On the bill is: 146.53 EUR NET repairs (even it is below the limit of 150.00 EUR) plus postage plus VAT = 181.00 EUR. An outrage, I think that has anything to do with commercial probity. - My question: Who has had similar experiences? Hat maybe even the method for Canon? I have the feeling, at a specified cost limit of EUR 110 would be the (net) cost was £ 108.36, and at a cost limit of the 180.00 EUR (net) costs £ 177.50 would have been? If there are many such cases, we could perhaps do something. Thank you for your help. RALPH:)

Canon XL1 DV port - for everyday use is not robust enough ... User guilt or manufacturing defect ...
The fact is that the replaced board behind it seems to be really expensive .... naja after all, are so accommodating that when Canon, which was of 6 repairs one at the expense of the house.

Basically, it erstmal the question, what was it broken? And whether the Republic was justified in the Height. Is declared the Republic? What was done?
Remember here that make up the labor costs alone usually already 60-80% of the cost!

My Ixus800 made funny noises when zooming - for CANON Service Berlin allegedly made ... very dirty, dusty lens - Estimate 154eu! I for the price, a new (with guarantee, which would probably at a different Manufacturer synonymous proper warranty) would get, or funny as just above this price is already really strange ... And as a lot to me that my father had the same workshop at almost the same problem with a printer - the repair was so synonymous narrowly original price below the current. Other companies, such as apple've got a bit more grace and replace me with no problems at three times my broken ipod - synonymous to the tender guarantee. Definitely I would buy under such circumstances, not even a Canon ... and also, if I grade I still wanted to grow a new SLR! In my eyes: ABZOCKE!

In our XL1S synonymous repair costs were only 1 or 2 euro in the cost limit ...

I do not synonymous! We had TS24 around here with a reliable and affordable partner. The Canon may now no longer repair equipment.

We had the XL1S synonymous elsewhere can be repaired, problem: Parts gibts only for official Canon partners.
In Sonyist me mad already thrown open that with a DVD device in which a drive belt for the drawer was supposedly worn the entire laser unit must be exchanged for cash because Sonyja must give a guarantee on the repair (which, in my opinion, but only on the repaired parts referring in this case the belt is likely). Individually they were allowed to sell the part allegedly not synonymous. But may be synonymous with that differently Sonyof service center to service center is.

I had a few years ago miniDV camcorder of Canon. Has not kept quite a year, then the drive was broken. To report to Canon warranty knew that they have no guarantee of wear (ie usalles play in the drive). Have tried it anyway and sent off, but they would have repaired it only charges.
Now at least I have an AV-in for analog video.

The problem was with us that we are not even got a detailed list of works, but only one bill to the model:
Work XXX EUR Part XXX EUR
Total XXX EUR
So not even understand what was being done ... marched right out only after a complaint with the Canon service company with a detailed statement (the complaint directly to the device ignores decline in service since it was always supposed to invoices and writes that can not otherwise do), then stop where draufstanden any standard things.
And yet s.Rand ne 'trivia: The camera is then recorded no longer synonymous s.nächsten day of rotation after 5 minutes, diagnosis at Canon: Video heads are very dirty, clean a gesture of goodwill .... Fresh from the service that is.
