a 3d composition is in a different composition again 3d 2D

Hello
I had to tinker before an octahedron in After Effects that rotates. This I did in Photoshop a precisely equilateral triangle created and imported into AE. Such a composition of a (triangular), I rotated on the X-axis by 45 °. Now you can see in "top" view no bar anymore, but synonymous a triangle (should be 4 1 of roof triangles) Now I sit in my composition of this triangle (octahedral) in order to add the other 8 synonymous and rotate so and move it s.Ende as an octahedron looks like. However, it is suddenly 2D, that is, in the view of the top again is only a dash to see. I'm pretty set and check the 3D settings in the composition, is synonymous, it is 3d. So, after that (and here comes the same problem) should be in a 3rd Composition to be seen gaanz many octahedron, which turn .. But there are the same as the 2D triangle in the octahedral composition. The only thing that happens is a 2D distortion -.-
The whole thing can be quite synonymous but no preference, when you explain to me the other way, how to make a circular camera movement around an object. Camera and share with me I know of unfortunately. But if it were then in a composition the camera to the octahedron to circulate it and then the gaanz often include in my main composition, so I should have just rotating octahedron. If this is possible.

A composition that can fit into a different composition, behaves in effect like a normal file. Say, any spatial information is not accepted, it is flat as a rendered 3D animation.
Can resolve the inside of AE but actually in the timeline with the little sun icon (next left, you can look like a bomb synonymous)
