Infoseite // best option for fields in Appro?

Frage von yenz:

Hello!
Now that I have digitized some of my Video8 tapes, I wonder whether I have selected the best all settings ...
It will be followed by about 30 tapes and as including all around 10h +
each need (capturn 1.5 h, 8h MPEG2 VBR HQ 2Pass ... Tonaufbesserung in Adobe Audition and recoding to MpegAudio ...).

More specifically, the question is aimed at setting the right fields.

Since I found the material later, eh s.digitalen devices (TFT / Beamer wants to look at), I have until now always "join fields always set" under the video options and "Progressive Scan" at AdobeMediaEncoder.

The material thereby suffers a loss of quality?

How does the deinterlacing function in APPRO? It reduces to half the vertical lines and then resized the resulting 720x288Pixelmaterial back to the 720x576px. Appro nutut standard or a more mature way?

Is it not reasonable under standard DV settings 20GB video gecapturten in another program to compress?
I used a lot of mti VirtualDub and had me at the time angelesen know anything about the different deinterlacing methods, which is after 2 years of "Failure" with the theme gone :-(

Hello Jens,

Each PAL-imaging device can deal with interlaced. Thus, the TV norm has been defined. Whether it is the output device is now a classic tube TV is (1) or a modern flat screen TV / projector (2), first does not matter.

1) ... (the fields as such is synonymous) ...
2) ... (converts to full-screen images of the fields) ...

Why do you do the conversion of video recordings of your PC and time-consuming, not in real time (during playback) of flat-screen TV or projector?

Another idea: I have a plasma TV. If I play him (perfectly normal video recordings to 50i), then watch movements from liquid. At 25p would make quick movements, but a rather jerky impression. So the question is whether I show my plasma TV 25 or 50 frames per second? Does he have made of the internal 50p-50i-a video image?

Hello Mark!

Thanks for the answer!

I realize that a standalone device (DVD player connected with Plasma Television / LCD converts TV / projector), the half-images in real time.

I would like to watch the recordings on your PC or on your laptop synonymous with angschlossenem TFT or Projector.

Here was my idea that I put together the images to then achieve the highest possible compatibility, the projector is finally thought synonymous with the PC to operate (in the future, for now, I've yet to decide, for any projector).

For example, the alternative would be to play with the VLC player, which indeed deinterlace in real time can be synonymous.

I only just thought that has a semi-professional program such as Appro better deinterlacing mode as the VLC and I'm going to use in future only the PC as a playback device with digital-out, I thought that was the best decision!

Backward compatibility would be synonymous, of course, an argument that if you eg friends / family is ...

So I lose image information when I select progressive scan, or is the only "quality degradation" that I have on some plasma, etc. (just as you described it) is a jerk?

Antwort von Stefan:

You will not lose any image information, but You produce new ones. The one on other line is more or less intelligent, created from the remaining material. 08/15 copy more disturbing than an interpolation. But you can easily and quickly read on www.100fps.com. And the exact method of deinterlacing Appro is an Adobe does not bind on the nose.

Good luck

In the described playback method (ie, more PCs, never standalone) devices, would offer himself as not the H264Codec?

Has this codec still teething or is there a sophisticated versions?

Are there any objections to the H264 codec?
