betacam in FinalCut

hi all,

I get betacam material of a customer. I will thus be able to work in FinalCut? what kind of file is it? had so far only with the standard formats such as avi / mov / mpeg / vob etc to be done.
someone knows what I would like to thank betacam material must be adjusted?

Hello,

you need above all a MAZ (BetacamSP) to the material yourself, as well as a capture card that has analog component input and XLR audio.

What format is it in the calculator, you recreate in your editing software, which is the least of the problems ...

Dir En s.besten an MSW-M2100P / 1, which gives it all back. And then on SDI in the calculator inside.

amazing you do not ;-) I actually print advertising and video hobby something Kramer. So really have no idea of maz / beta / xlr and so ...

I held it up just for the exchange standard (MXF stands for "material exchange format), but had to note that the Final Cut Pro plug-in is a chargeable. So you'll probably do not have. What is exchanged because of Final Cut Pro to Final Cut Pro so its data? When you have either Avid OMF or MXF files.

So Betacam (which is always synonymous) is not a file format, but sometimes an analog video format, and partly a digital video format. The signal is on or YCrCb output digitally via SDI. To record in the Mac you need a video card. About the draw then as uncompressed SD in 8 bits, or choose ProRes 422 as intermediate.

I recommend you to someone else do it for you. You have no idea what professional technique is concerned. The risk that you do not produce quality, is much too high. You know not even let any DVCPRO50 Betacam format!

Oh yes, you right. How simple life can be. There is no MXF. For a single file anyway no problem. I have just always in mind, things like bins, where a larger amount of clips to organize, but that is not relevant here ...

but where I have ever had here:

ch've always worked in premiere with dv material and because it is avi. that was private and now we have entered into an gz7 jvc hd camcorder with Full HD, 16:9, harddisk fetched. because I had the problem that the *. vob files are and I have iMovie HD in the fce reinbekommen have. as far as anything good.
Now I have to cut & fce exported:
qucktime, sorensen3.
= quality-hammer! problem:
only runs on my dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5/5gb ram. not on weaker computers. then with encoders and then halt runtercodiert less bombastic avi's get but still cool.
If I am from the mov is make a dvd quali top, there is only 16:9 is na clear away the full hd -> since I'm back to DV (720x576)

larger problem:
I get a *. mov, which is when I'm back in fce reinlade not.

ask:
the setting with which codec is the unkomrimierteste works and then render again without fce.
premiere of windows on it so I know that I work with avi, avi export and exported without rendering avi's into premiere again can load and thus can work next.

how do I get this workflow in fce?

hahaha so true. at least tell me what the exchange format is in fce. so I exported files again can load it again without the need to render. because I have something wrong.

You have to differentiate between cut size and the reception and distribution format.

Unfortunately I have no idea exactly what you mean.
