hello, I have the eos7d and a Sigma 18-125mm F3.8-5.6 DC OS Lens. If I zoom with the camera is constantly changing the brightness in the image. the brightness changes are synonymous when the diaphragm is about 5.6. is this normal or is it a defect? the camera is in manual mode. Many thanks in advance. greeting sandropez

In manual mode, something like supposed to be.
I have no camera, but the Canon XH-A1. Since this problem occurs in the automatic mode and in TV mode, but not for activation of the AE lock in these modes. In AV mode, in which I indeed the Aperture and influences in the manual mode does not occur this brightness pumps.
With DSLRs, I know myself now is not enough. But you will need to counter the AE lock.
However, you have this problem even in manual mode ...
Antwort von Jott:
Maybe it: as the caption of the lens suggests, it gets darker towards telephoto, so you can not in the longer focal length zoom. Photography is obviously no preference, but the shooting may be a handle in the toilet. Optics with a constant light output over the entire zoom range are more expensive.
Antwort von srone:
@ Jott tja was synonymous gedanke my first, but as he writes above, that the whole synonymous higher at 5.6 and diaphragm takes place which makes sache just not that simple.

Can you describe this phenomenon in more detail? Will you zoom in zoom out darker and lighter or it fluctuates constantly between light and dark?
