Infoseite // do not use it as a raid hdd

Frage von flo 1:

I just this morning received my new hard drive (SATA).

Did they then s.meinen 2nd S-ATA connection connected.

In the bios it is detected. ImArbeitsplatz it is not displayed.

With the tool HD Tach, I can choose between two and she has a Übetragunsrate of about 135 Mbytes in the second.

This suggests that my computer uses the disk as a raid.

I want that are not. How do I add that from?

Thanks for answers

Hi Flo,

be a new hard drive must be formatted usually just before they appear in Windows Explorer as a drive. Click (for Win XP) on start and then with right-click My Computer. Now click on Manage and then Disk Management.

Here are synonymous appears unformatted hard drive, which you can now in (one or more divided) partitions.

hdd is working now.

Checkdisk has run over 12 hours. Then I formatted with MaxBlast and it will be recognized without problems.
