Frage von rotfux:

It is an effect of 16mm and 35mm cameras.
I'll shall try to describe it:

On the edge of (all? Recordings) to film creates a glow (usually red, purple or yellow) which is irregular in the building "eats" or "burning".
s.and, it happens that this ignited the complete picture will be bright. The image is then dyed for a few frames white money /.
however, it is recognized anyway.

one not quite as good example:

First Love Trailer: Richard select
relative of the clips from the s.anfang vhs recordings. Who knows the effect knows what I mean ... is very difficult to describe

I think I know what you mean. this "effect" arises when filming, and indeed whenever you trigger the camera or the recording ended. rohmaterial you'll see on each film, it takes about one second, so it synonymous, when the camera is running, nor 2, 3 seconds waiting before it actually starts.
as the saying goes, I do not know, but maybe you can find out by which something.

much more effective

Is pretty easy, you just have to play around with a few frames long s.histogramm.

Here you get to a video tutorial for After Effects:

clearly, one and the same effects have many different designations (or any fixed), but apparently there are a few concepts that have yet naturalized in the technical jargon.

I would be really interesting times. stichwörtern then perhaps you could even put together a few times here, including the search and possibly a suitable link.

So how the hell you find something?

Was it an accident, did the tutorial a few days ago and read this thread today.
When one travels a lot in forums, grabs one commonly used terms when we constantly hear talk about professionals, "" write (reading ?!?).

To effect reminds me names now on the fast only "Vertigo Effect" for zoom-camera and ride in the opposite direction.

Hi, again the guest, in this thread
http://forum.slashcam.de/film-look-vt26406.html?
the effect was "light leaks called," Lichtleck. Related names one would probably googled. There is another example: In the top right of shooting it a triangle or a few consecutive circles, flashes briefly about every 15 minutes. In "Fight Club" Brad Pitt explains what is at stake: The sign for the projectionist, the next roll of film to fade.
Even if I tell you the correct name ( "turnover cue"), you would not find it on Google, the term is too exotic, a case for Excellent addition.
The best method is, therefore, to describe an effect as accurately as possible: "You know, if so then flashes in the corner.
As in this thread:

Title: Own Movie Clips
Hi!
I am looking for the moment a sequence rausspringt in "The Movie" ...
So suddenly see the film role is and perhaps blows?
Has an 'nen tip or link?

Grüßle

The situation described is found in "Gremlins II" - the legendary horror of projectionists, because it looks so realistic. It has the "jump out" - namely, the perforation of the transport rollers, whereby the former is visible, and smudge the colors as in the long-term exposure of a carnival vertical (this film is broken), nothing to do with the comparatively harmless burning of a film image. This "Bonanza" - Effect occurs when an open screen door when the motor stops and the light falls a long time on a single frame. The first is brown, then the emulsion begins to beat bubbles and, finally, the carrier material melts circle of the center outwards, and the white canvas is visible. 24tel just one second of film is lost.

Lend you the movie, and try to copy the thing. A slide will unfortunately never melt so. The reason is that the lamps are too weak.

Usually it These were an unwanted effect when changing film rolls of exposed film or s.Filmanfang outside light by the end of the coil. No mention of that this seemed synonymous with shots in the middle of the coil, that would be bad.

This unintended effect would therefore be a candidate for the cutter shears been, is also exceptionally rare. Where is the question of how he has reached such a celebrity that once again the guest about the proper nomenclature breaks down his head. "Film Flash Transition" shows - in contrast to "light leaks" (yes could be synonymous in the middle of the role) occur - that is the showy send only a transition and is not the realistic imitation of a dead technology breakdown.
I think that is about the medium of film through its flirtation with conjuring up the light, for sentimental reasons or because of the "magic" (see synonymous "lens flare").
In another thread it was these days about the "smear" effect, caused when a light source on one CCDs greasy glow. An unintended technical breakdown, not least because it is typical for VIDEO and - always in Comparison with Hollywood models - does not match the film look.
Since, therefore, will soon produce better chips with the ability to perfectly mimic a film emulsion, we should mark us the term "smear effect" even now when someone asks, "What that meant more rapidly if there such a horny glow of the light source emanating that time when the world was still intact?
