Frage von ake85:

Hello!
I want my dvbt recordings (mpg format compressed), plus I have fought me already through some forums and tried and Programs Programs such as Super, MediaCoder, and Virtualdub.

However, I am an absolute amateur, and just come to any conclusions. I also seem to have the Same problem each time, either can not open the original file or an error message appears, there is something wrong with the source does not ...????

Can anyone help me or give a good tutorial?

Antwort von RickyMartini:

Why do you want the already significantly compressed MPEG2 clips to compress even better?
Better quality is thus really no more!

If would only Divx / Xvid out of the question:

Probably you lack the VLC Player. Take super and then render to Mpeg 4th But the question still arises, why you want to compress. : D But his cause.

Antwort von RickyMartini:

DVB-C/S/T streams are SD (720x576) is always encoded in MPEG2, and always in HD H.264/AVC.
Install time is very useful tool, MediaInfo. This gives you the information via audio / video data.

There are only MPEG 1, 2 and 4! ;)

Hello ake85,

is it your ambition that you want to compress the files?

You write that "the files are up to 3 GB in size - so viiiel too big!"

How long is because the film that you bestowed the 3 GB?

So, I do not synonymous think that this is zuviiiel. Hard disks in terabytes not cost the earth!

And the whole Umwandelei takes time. Time is synonymous Money!

Overall XVID to convert!

Go with super pretty good.
So then, a film about 700MB is enough.
