Hello,
I bought recently had a laptop and wanted to watch dvd. He reflected this gives me, but flatly! I put a cd that plays songs from the laptop. I have already downloaded the VLC player synonymous, but as the same as in windows media player: just a silent playback happens. He has still warranty (media market), but let it run on software and the program will cost.
how do I get to run the dvd with the ton?

Hello,
Purchase DVDs contain the sound usually compressed AC3 (Dolby Digital), thereby providing a standard PC, the absence of AC-3 decoder can do nothing.
Install a software DVD player (eg PowerDVD), then it should work.

So that should be easiest if you have dsl: Google time after k-lite codec mega pack. Sind halt think 60 MB
But I had where I have never seen the pack are problems with an audio or video codec.
But Windows Media Player is in my opinion not the best software to view a movie DVD, with me always rumgeruckelt hats. With Power DVD gehts smoothly. When the pack is synonymous but a player there, you just have to activate that is installed with. Got it but have not yet tried out with DVDs.
