Hello, I have an Nvidia 6200 graphics card. Anyway, I want to connect this with my television, and has an adapter for S-video (with the purchase the 4 jacks) to scart. Now I have attached a slightly older television. The desktop image I receive, but only a very blurred (which is written with dashes) describe covered - hard to find. Can it be that the television is so old, or what am I doing wrong? Thank you for your trouble. Ferdi ....

Especially with Nvidia cards you can increase the image quality, reduce the flickerfilters and also slightly higher sharpness filter ( "image-sharpening") - marked in red: http://members.chello.at/djdino/temp/nvidia_tv_optimal.png ATI cards have similar features, but I do not where, once scour the menu correctly after sowas ... S-Video versus composite / composite're already Mating with TV-out of graphics cards is the best choice, that's all there is. However, one should be synonymous SVideo cable not be too long and not a cheap generic packaging Irgendwas.Recht cheap and still of good quality eg the S-video cable of HAMA. (Gibts mei Saturn / Media Markt zb) - have good experience despite 10 Metter long connection ... even better that of Ohlenbach (but a lot more expensive) - but the pay barely made since the initial quality of the TV out of the card because even previously limited, I guess ...
For videos can be synonymous to increase the quality since, depending on ATI or Nvidia card's overlay mode, more or less works.
Under "Winamp / Media Player Setup Optimization of image quality" stands on Page 4 (or scroll down far) because what one s.besten sets: http://members.chello.at/djdino/temp/giga_stream_am_tv.pdf

This happens synonymous with me, but only if I) (for S-Video AV input connection, the remote control option s.Television s.der wrong attitude, ie AV (scart pure) rather than AV-S (SVideo) - must then repeatedly pressing the AV button-switch to work on AV-S, you may be synonymous (synonymous if otherwise, just try rum ...) May be synonymous correct the S-Video only one scart input if you have 2 inputs , then replug times.
Old Television, unfortunately, is often no support SVideo - then should the picture, but black-and-proof. But if the SVideo cable a poor, inner shield has (and then the luminance and Chromasignale something), it can also be mixed half brightly and it looks like bad off - difficult subject ... You think: "naja is somehow colored so can my SVideo TV?" - But this is not so.
In that case you should ask the driver for Nvidia cards on the menu "mixed output":
Right mouse button on the TV screen-> Select TV format-> Advanced: At the bottom of mixed / mixed: http://www.uli-staerk.de/files/cb/erwAnzeigeEigenschaftenNvidia2.PNG is - then there just like a software-only SVideo to Composite adapter (RCA). (Chroma and luminance are interconnected = FABS / Composite)
Synonymous Can you try it.
Think no more occurs to me to (currently)

This is because the TV show, the picture cards in overlay mode, which is normally only with TV outputs spziellen settings may reflect how, see: http://www.uli-staerk.de/files/cb/erwAnzeigeEigenschaftenNvidia3.PNG There, set the Full Screen Device bottom left of Secondary display then goes es.Alternativ leave the overlay mode where the go somewhere in the menu of TV software.
