Hi everybody,
it may be dss you can only edit DV PAL material in Premiere Elements? or in mienen project settings, select the format, codec, etc. are so half-hidden, you can not change anything because, even with a fresh landscaped Project does not. Gibts n trick or is this one of the reasons why the tool is so cheap compared with the pro version?
On the other hand, if you want to change anything because they could have saved themselves the effort of the reinzutun Buttes at all in the dialogue?

what settings are they given for you? - I work with Premiere 6.5 and if I as a codec, "Microsoft DV (PAL)" pick, I can not change the parameters for the Picture. They are then just as they must be for Digital Video: 720 × 576 pixels, 25 fps, lower field first, ...
However, I choose a different codec, such HuffYUV, then I can define the above parameters, all free.

That's the problem, I can not choose different codec - too much so you can not change in a standardized format such as DV, image size and so, I know. Only I'm not away at all of the default DV-PAL. What would happen eg if I wanted to cut ntsc, which dannja is not synonymous.
So I can now work with the software, eh've just DV, but in principle do not like me when I can not unscrew s.den settings (control freak).

Premiere Elements are the target group of amateur filmmakers, they do not want to deal with all sorts of questions of detail, but "looking for something simple editing of video recordings".
If you want to enter next, you may need a higher software such as Premiere 6.5/Pro/Pro 1.5. But what would be different? To edit video recordings, would you choose virtually the same standards ...

I do not know whether you still benefit, but I faced the same problem (actually I wanted to continue editing my 16:9 material filmed synonymous with 16:9, but found in the project settings only 4:3), and had for some time Search Try and find out that you sdchon startup screen, so
