Infoseite // iMac computer cut enough?

Frage von Andre Steiger:

Hello,
actually I play longer with the thought of a Mac zuzulegen. The main reason is the fact that my Prod.rechner completely disconnecting from the Inet and anything with Mail / Office, Web and manage my digicam pictures to be done on the Mac has shifted. A PC would be synonymous to do it, but we are honest: So an iMac is simply chic;)
Given the new iMac models, I am now back on the taste and wonder if cut for mainstream projects (holiday videos, little animation) so synonymous iMac makes sense, so the performance is sufficient and reasonably pleasant work is possible.
I do not know how powerful iMovie, but it seems no-down version of Final Cut Pro to give (LE osä)?
Currently I am on the current iMac version 2.0 or 2.4GHz fixed, then I would limit synonymous remain below 1500 ¬.
Do you have experience / recommendations?
Thanks-Andre.

No, Macs are much too slow. Therefore, synonymous movies on Macs geschnitten.

The calculator is fast enough for everything. You have two times 2.0 GHz or 2.4 GHz, twice! If you know how fast it is? Those things are clean and of course fast for your needs. I know some synonymous production companies and TV stations, in which synonymous iMacs to be cut. For example, synonymous, I have an iMac CD 2.0.

The disconnecting with the Internet, brings the Mac nothing. You are the highest research and multimedia features, the Internet need to be lost. Macs are totally uncritically what the Internet and its dangers are. So a good choice with the Mac for Web, etc.

iMac: 750 Euro + monitor - and you have everything you need - hardware and software, computing power, no viruses. Possibly. for under 100 euros to 1.5 Gig RAM upgrade - and have your first semi-fly video in a short time on the screen :-)

I said yes, that I explicitly connected to the iMac are Web wishes, because I am with my Windows workstation since my bad experiences have made. The Windows calculator is still for my audio editing stuff (Samplitude, etc.), but I know - synonymous to work fine on the Mac. But everything after the first of the series.

Interesting discussion, especially since I am interested to synonymous.
Has anyone of you have the new (current) IMAC with a cutting solution in use and can post his experiences?
I'm really on whether I should change, because the new desktops I think the price-performance ratio really succeeded. I am working on PPro 2 on the Windows, but synonymous Gibbs CS3 on the Mac, right?
Who can give me some appetite? : D
Chris.

I use Final Cut Studio 2 on an iMac Core Duo with 2 GHz, ie the predecessor. And seriously. Fast it is. On the New, it will still take a corner to run faster ... I use Premiere CS3 does not, but there is nothing (except that Final Cut Pro is better;))

So: buy!

Antwort von Christian Rees:

Thanks for the Buy! ;)
And if we already are. You claim that Final Cut Pro is better than PPro CS3 was the only way hergesagt, or there evidence? I must confess, I know Final Cut Pro does not.
Chris.

It is probably ...

Is a widespread opinion among TV editors. Avid or Final Cut Pro. But never premiere. In the U.S., still glaring.
Final Cut Pro is more for professional users. Premiere less. Looking synonymous s.den entire professional formats, the premiere does not support.
