Hello,

created a U.S., 720 x 480 px great video of dvd was copied to disk, with Pinnacle Studio 9 and cut in the same Resolutiongerendert. Unfortunately, it is now stretched in width, all the faces are too ugly mutated Crumpets - what is there to do? Under 'album' is the aspect ratio of 4:3 ticked - the alternative would be 16:9 - both very confusing, because 720x480 is 3:2 yes.

I did have a short test with 720x528 px 720x480 px rendered instead - at least on my computer, it now looks a bit more realistic. But what consequences does that? Such aspect ratios are not standardized in some way? Strikingly s.dem video is that it is 10080 kb / s has. Ultimately, I need it as mpeg1 to me in the studio but no resolution renders. So, first as an avi and then render with a converter to convert mpeg1 - or someone wieß another solution?

an explanation for the formation of the image format you can find help in 4:3 or 5:4 (or 3:2 for NTSC) Pixel Aspect Ratio vs. Video. Computer.

A 4:3 - video in NTSC format has a pixel aspect ratio of 0.9. This means that the picture when it comes with square pixels is shown, appears too broad. Video editing programs usually have templates for NTSC video, so that they are correctly processed and may be issued.

Your further description, I think not. There are templates for matching and NTSC video appear as they should be (4:3 or 16:9).

Because it is digital video only with the aspect ratios are 4:3 and 16:9. Why 720 × 480 pixels to the image aspect ratios that you can in the linked articles to read.

Otherwise, you have to convert twice: first for a correct display outside a video editing program and then back again to 720 × 480 pixels, if the video for playback in DVD player to a blank disc to be burned. As with the quality loss would allow the conversion of his works and start to finish unchanged with the original resolution.

The standard for DV / NTSC is 720 × 480 pixels, both at 4:3 - as synonymous with 16:9 video. Do not assume Kirr make that 720 × 480 pixels purely mathematical terms of the picture is 3:2. This is just typical of computer-square pixels so, but not for video typically rectangular.
