Infoseite // miniDV -> Premiere -> miniDV. Loss of quality?

Frage von Tomas:

Hello together

I have a project for several films at various miniDV tapes are available on a tape copy. The whole is then presented in a movie.

My question. If I just with my camcorder into Adobe Premiere Capture aneinanderhänge again and spend what is the quality loss? Or you can ignore? I know it's a pretty general question but somehow I can not judge. Also heard / read quite wiedersprüchliche things.

Would it be better to copy the whole to be professionally? Taste of course a lot. Or has someone a better idea?

Has anyone experience with it?

Lg

Hi Tomas,

without loss of quality is definitely a copy directly between 2 camcorders via Firewire interface!

But I think over synonymous premiere there should be no loss, if not premiere for some reason wants to render.
In the normal case, so the imported digital file issued and digitally re-learns no conversion between synonymous.

Usually only in the area of transition effects, newly rendered. A possible Quallitätsverlust there is then applied through the Effect SOWISO covered. Unchanged passages are copied 1:1. This is possible because in the DV format for each picture is compressed and not - as with MPEG - images are grouped together. There is bound to render synonymous processes in passages not really changed since s.dem cut all of the following groups of pictures (GOP structure) must be recalculated.
