I have the Pinnacle PCTVSat CI card. I have some movies in mpeg2 format. The I wanted to burn on DVD now, so far so well and now the questions about this:
1. what's that for a "bad" mpeg format, no other player can the films reflect ... 2. And for this reason probably synonymous not burn. Only the video can WinOnCD File MIT probably burn audio, all the others find no audio track. 3. With mpeg2Schnitt I wanted the advertising rausschneiden just as I said, it is no sound ...
What to do? What split? What next edit? How / how burn?
Please help ...
Thank you Carsten

google times a bit. PVA is better suited (and PVA strumento-cut) should help you. Your MPEG's times strumento accused, it should be in a suitable format can convert. Rainer

I have a PCTVSat XE. IIRC is largely identical with your Card (only without CI and without remote control).

With PowerDVD 4.0 (OEM version), I have usually no problems, the Recordings to be.

I cut the recording still currently with a trial version of Womble - Software (available at www.womble.com, 30-day free-Key). Habe so but for some recording problems, which I currently do not can understand and have therefore refrained from making the software purchase.
I am now with the programs ProjectX (Picture-and separates Soundtrack) and MPEG2Schnitt deal. Have been with a Nero new version (6.3, synonymous see my post of yesterday) a first Success, DVD files on hard drive to save after I with Nero Chapters have created. Had with the old version always sound picture offset.
To what extent I do with Nero with separate-and Picture Soundtrack can work, I have yet to try. Otherwise I will try to Both tracks with ProjectX after cutting back together again.

Which program of Womble did you use and what problems occurred on? Since I own the MPEG video using Vizard, it interested me, possible to find vulnerabilities.

Yes, just the software it is. Someone (you?) Had them here in the group recommended, so I try it.
For me it's already happened several times that Picture and Sound auseinanderliefen. In one case, I could cause with a little searching Locate: At one point, the recording output is an image disorder. These "broken" pictures, the software is rausgeschnitten, the sound s.dieser Body is not. Whether this in the other cases the same basic , I - for reasons of time - not yet consider them.
I also correctly, that a film as an MPEG file after Cutting back could be written. The reason I could not determined. I must look, if I find out what the Studio was.

Hi Michael, thanks for the feedback. Presumably, the tip of me. I have as yet no such problems, however, is the way to me: Recording on a Siemens DVB-S in PVA-format MPEG2 conversion with PVAStrumento and then finishing with the Video Vizard.
If I correctly interpret the preceding questions, it seems PCTVSat the MPEG format anyway not entirely unproblematic to be (as Pinnacle Studio 8, I hit here resist biting times Comments).
You could try the data before further processing in the video Vizard by the "MPEG Stream Converter" or "MPEG GOP Fixer" (to can be found under Tools) to run, and perhaps helps das
