Infoseite // necessary accessories for Panasonic DVX100 rotating

Frage von Kast&Oroff:

Hello, I am planning a low-budget documentary on a rocky island. I have to rotate with the DVX100A or B, with only available light, Dogme-style, that is quite purist. I think s.einen particular grainy, harsh, possibly black and white look. I will first shoot without an assistant. Which accessories because I absolutely needed? The Micro is enough professional exigencies? Which is the cheapest, smallest, most portable tripod? The budget for the entire equipment should not exceed 3500Euro.

A look at the script scene by scene will convey an idea of the effort. While visiting the behavior can be synonymous to better see what you need s.Equipment will be miked and how.

There is a difference of "existing" light or "natural" light talk. If you think, do not use lighting equipment that you negierst completely that if a subject is recorded "as found", achieves a completely random and uncontrolled image effect. The result is between "nice" and "fiasco" and can be cut badly. Of dramaturgical perspective, I would not talk at all. Take at least a reflector screen with (and someone who holds the thing).

Thank surreptitious Michel for the quick response - this is very nice. I must add that there is no script. There will be a 'observational documentary' act (if synonymous), a very special form of it. First of all I'm going to research and Reccie on the island, but want to film can even jump if needed.

In fact, I would like to film with no lighting equipment. It is clear to me that there are many opponents of this operation, since it way alters their quality performances. I have a different view and have worked successfully with this method. I had only one Billigstativ for disposal, however, had joined a better microphone (because the possibility existed). This time I finance the project itself, and if someone wanted uswissen with the existing microphones of the DVX100 (it is now probably this is not the A and B are, or even release, probably even worse sound) 'cinematic' experience has made.

Thank you again for any event the answer

You can not make a "documentary" without Microsystems. Interviews and sound bites require more than the built-in Microphone. At least a hand or a directional micro-micro du need it unless you have only mediocre Athmo tones.

O Toene do not want to give any interviews synonymous (in the traditional sense), but with, I would contribute to the poor, built-in microphone probably too extreme close s.eine linked to the protagonists, which I confirmed the latter response. Thank you in favor. However, it must be fixed the mic s.der camera, because it's just not able to work with a boom and radio mics, the budget will not accommodate. Thank you very much

Moin,

Cool idea with the document. Nothing against the "raw" style objection as long as he is professionally done :-)

I have degrees purchased for my little Canon a Rode VideoMic, which I can only recommend. You will however, still a dead cat on it you have to pack when outside films. The price is c. 100 for Mic plus c. 20/50 for the "fur".

The whole just fits onto the hotshoe of the DVX. Of course there better solutions (and XLR ... blah). However, I would me for your project Spaar and lend me some interviews for a good mic.

Gibts of Vinten and Manfrotto Tripods needed S.250 eur on eBay and upgrade. Among gibts nur Mist! If you are outside film, then take a heavy with a good head. The latter is the most important thing anyway. Only take no lightweight aluminum tripod synonymous if they can carry easily.

Lg and much success,
Axel.

Thank you, Axel, hoert for the encouragement and helpful hints - Mic to 100Euro in very good tripod, at 250 euros a bit worse. The 'dead cat' is certainly erfoderlich in fact, and still is squeezed into the budget.

Hi,

Thus, the find-rode VideoMic's really not a bad figure ...
for pure nature recordings would be synonymous with a microphone, omnidirectional interesting, but you seem to have protagonists ..
inasmuch as the rode okay, although I have no comparison to the existing know the mic is ... dvx100

another tip for a cheap tripod: look after the times Velbon dv7000

No lights, no script, no assistant and no money?

Since you have you but imposes severe restrictions on (voluntarily or by necessity? Paper, at least for a rough-shooting schedule in the budget but should still be in it). I hope for you that you have enough ideas, time, experience, luck and talent to making top synonymous without these important prerequisites is still a good and interesting results.

Thanks for the keen interest and the practical tips (Tripod) - as for the restrictions, it can sometimes even feel exhilarated. And who would have thought, for example, that a movie of more than 150 min.Laenge, without a story (where we're at it) and largely without dialogue with success in the movies is running ( 'Die grosse Stille'). Now I want my experiences and resources with which Philip Groening, but not yet compare to thinking 'outside the box to point'.
