I know the problem you have been treated more often, but unfortunately I have found the solutions yet to help.
So the following problem:

So the camcorder has s.einem notebook works.
The firewire cable is, I thought in any case, already rather high ...
it has cost about 20 ¬. the only thing that bothers some is that it s.pc connection, not exactly the best fit. it is a bit loose. but
that has otherwise (before the pc in the delivery status has been reset) always synonymous geklappt.
However, I have noticed that the pc in general have difficulties to install hardware. despite the drivers cd and so.
my digicam as I have with the assi intalliert hardware and the installation was successful synonymous, just now when I connect the camera again, opens again, the hardware assistant.
the digicam is still listed ... with a yellow question mark.
I suspect it is s.pc .... but I am still grateful for every tip.

Far-end PC problems are not my specialty. Perhaps you ask synonymous times in a forum for WinXP PCs, if no one here comment?

I have found a solution for my problem. :) Juhu!
It was s.PC. I had several drivers apparently corpses.
I have removed all and now it recognizes the camcorder again flawlessly ... and everything else synonymous.
