Hi All,

I'm fairly new convert to the DV editing and now has one hour of video material for research into MPEG.
And I always get such sawteeth during fast movements. Since the final product is not on TV, but to analyze this same movement on the PC monitor is viewed, I need urgent advice on how I can set the best quality.

Thanks in advance

Henning

Antwort von Markus:

Hi Henning,

The computer display provides full frames (progressive present), the Television is working but with half-frames in Zeilensprungverfahren (interlaced). Das beschriebene Sägezahnmuster nennt man Kammeffekt (manche nennen es synonymous Lattenzaun). Das ist völlig normal bei der Darstellung of "gewöhnlichen Videobildern" s.Computer.

Before changed (or during) the video files to MPEG are the images must be subjected to a de-interlacing to make the half frames to full frames. For a subsequent motion analysis, this transformation could be (depending on the material and type of de-interlacing), however, be a hindrance. A better approach would be to record directly to 25p (25 frames per second, progressive).

Hi Mark,

The tip has finally brought me to the front. I rendere now views the sequence as MPEG to DVD quality with VBR enabled and deinterlacing.
Use for next time: Can you switch a camera to Progressive? I'm assuming that this is not possible with everyone.

Thanks for the tip

Henning

That is correct. Which camera is it used for recording.

What I just think: If the movements are blurry (motion blur), it is recommended that the exposure time (default is reduced 1 / 50 second).

Antwort von ha_te:

So I have a SonyDCR-PC6E. How can I reduce the exposure time, I do not know. The manual can be found at exposure, although some hints there, but I can go down only synonymous with + or - up-and. An aperture is not there.
I have since the camera has 4 1 / 2 years and then purchased separately for the investigation. Since it is my first video camera, my technical understanding just enough time to build stand ...
I'm good at taking photographs, but video is a book with 7 seals, and if i had to open my, there are two new ones.

The motion blur is synonymous not the big problem. Worse was the picket fence, and I've now got pretty well under control. Oddly, the picture is now synonymous not distorted. Before, it was always somewhat compressed horizontally - why always synonymous.

Henning

Hi Henning,

As a photographer, you already have the necessary knowledge regarding the exposure issue. In the video films behave the same way: The exposure is of the two factors Aperture (exposure) and exposure time (shutter speed) dependent, with the exposure time is for video (usually without any manual setting) 1 / 50 second.

For Seiten-/Höhenverhältnis of video recordings (taken from DiaShow ohne Zitterbilder erstellen!):

"optimal is to resize the pictures first on the size of the television picture, ie to 720 × 576 pixels. But beware: Video images have slightly rectangular pixels, so here it is a distortion can occur. First, the digital images are scaled pruned to 768 × 576 pixels, or (= 4:3) and then compressed vertically of 768 on 720 pixels. On the television pictures have the correct then Seiten-/Höhenverhältnis of 4:3.

[...] If you change your pictures without of DV tape to submit while the calculator, then you get DV-AVI files with 720 × 576 pixels and a pixel aspect ratio of 1.07 (4:3-format) or . 1.42 () 16:9-format. "

Antwort von Stefan:

The SonyPC6E You can shorten the exposure time is only roughly, if you change under Program AE in the sport mode.

With this camera you can only shoot synonymous with half-frames (interlaced). It is not a progressive / movie / movie-recording mode. Any adjustment to full frames (deinterlace) So you'd have to make on a calculator.

Good luck
The fat Stefan

Hello together. Thanks for all the tips. Now it's time. Also the conversion to Deinterlaced is not so bad. For the analysis it is enough. The next time I get me a with handle ...

Greeting

Henning
