Hello
have an older jvc dv cam
transfer videos by the firewire cable to the computer
've tried to capture with: windows movie maker -> avi pal
Nero something -> mpeg2 & Avi
all experience a quality loss when I capture
The vorschaubild without borrowing is always great: D
can someone tell me why there is a loss? I thought it would be uncompressed AVI and mpeg or something? (at least in the avi pal I was) I am sure that

On the tape of the Camera Picture and sound are encoded as data. Next is nothing more than capturing the transfer of this data the camera to the PC. This is done one-on-one and with no data loss and without any additional coding.
Ifs then afterward modestly on the monitor or PC looks like it is more likely s.der graphics card, the hardware or software player or the man who carried out the settings of the involved hardware and Software :-)

This is probably s.deinem transcoder, with whom you have your video transcoding of avi to mpeg or more s.der authoring software (key word is multiplexing), which you have used.
Either you are looking for, giving of software and settings as in this forum for specific information or you invite you if you have not already, download TMPGEnc (14 days Trial period) and is doing so with Nero and burning the vob etc. S.Meer there are instructions on the net such as sand.
Alternatively, you can download the Media Player Classic Gabest of downloading (for free, get yourself ggf the German variant). Then you can synchronize the sound to advance (or delay).
And again: All of your problems have hundreds (thousands?) Others have had / solved. Use the search feature of this board and you will find redemption :-)
