Find a look out what codec your camera stores the data, and then you have to keep at least consistently. In most cases, the DV or HDV, with newer Cams synonymous schonmal H.264.

If your film passes through several generations, however, such as cutting, then FX, Color and then re-compressed every time, in which case you should start of s.einen superior codec, since the camera's own codec primarily oriented to the space saving is the re-compression and visual loss leaves behind.

For Apple, so-MOV files, I would as ProRes HQ codec hoherwertigen recommend no preference whether SD or HD, on PC, ie. AVI is not much s.Standards except Blackmagic uncompressed 8 or 10 bits. H.264 is computationally intensive and I would avoid.

The output format of the camera is always the right thing. With DV Avi has a barely perceptible loss of quality, synonymous if the material is re-compressed (assuming you do not like 20x times).

If a but 90 GB / hr not mind, then simply eject uncompressed (very compatible) or with a loss-free compression codec such as Lagarith (lossless and not so immensely huge).

So I am very pleased to have such professional answer, unfortunately I am not so much in the matter that I am with codecs and co familiar ... well, the file of which I've imported the camera around 100mb then as raw output and Avi the file was already only half the size and quality of discriminating visible with the naked eye ... how can I get the outset of a higher codec to use?

90Gb would be synonymous bissl me too much say in the finished film to the very end I could go with the 10-15GB per hour, or live longer synonymous with the beginning ... it is not my first line about it on cd but to really the mere qualli.

So the question perhaps a little to flesh out the file .... I just of the camera on the recording of magix played on the PC has had for me as I find appealing and satisfactory quality. (why does this file in Windows Media player much better than in the VLC player?) So how can I get this quality as it appears to me in WMP offers preserve synonymous after cutting and co?

ever thank in advance

Well, AVI is not AVI because AVI is just a container sg everything can include (quasi Tortelinis with Hack or Tortelinis with spinach;)

If you exportierst as "AVI", then you need the codec settings of Magix (something like compression) and then "DV AVI" option. Nothing else. Then you have synonymous 13GB / h.

PS: Read the manual! Or the help!

Already in the 2nd DV AVI generation shows a square pattern that with each additional compression clearer. Is it synonymous clear, because DV AVI is 4:2:0, there are already little Farbinfos inside and the edges of the outset are not beautiful. They will be better by not re-compression.

Garnicht I know where there and what has to stand for chroma sampling? 4:4?
