I use an Apple Dual 2 GHz Power PC G5 and still looking for a suitable editing program, so that I can handle AVCHD. Actually, I wanted to grow as Final Cut Express 4.0 software which probably fail because, as Apple's system requirements for AVCHD usfolgendes specifies:
A Mac with Intel processor ....
I have to say that I've been around 14 years of Apple users and the hardware has little to no idea because I had to occupy myself, due to very low failure rate, never so, I am of a professional photographer and the calculator is on pure Image directed editing. At the moment I have the impression that there was no suitable software for my calculator, with which I can properly handle AVCHD, which is perhaps synonymous mind that I call "amateur" many topics in this forum and on the meaning of that jargon is not applicable understand why I hope you can help me.

As already indicated by the prescribing, for the PPC, there is no way to edit AVCHD. I myself had the problem on the net and found nothing to with the PPC (edit: here Dual 2 x 2.5 GHz) to AVCHD. iMovie and FCE support AVCHD only on Intel Macs. For me this was the main reason to buy an HDV camera with tape recording. Therefore the calculator is fast enough, it reads the data in real time. I suspect Apple has purchased the codec, and was written only for Intel processors.
