It is not about faith but about standardization. A kilobyte is
1000 bytes. If you're saying to the apple pear, then you like for your
personal freedom, but really, the term is
not. The unit is in the standard IEC 60027-2 (when you can
www.iec-normen.de buy) down.

It helps so synonymous not that in the German language use "standard"
"virus" and "the prospectus" are widespread. It is true
"Standard", "the virus" and "the prospectus". Perhaps the
change over time. But there is no reason to expect that because
commonly used in a few years 2 2 = 5 is. Because the
would have far-reaching consequences.

No dealer will have an interest in the wrong value 1024
for a kilobyte to use. That is, in most cases adversely
for him, because a 80 GB disk is only 76 GiB (estimated) has. Will
instead of the wrong denomination GiB GB used to be the buyer
advantage, the dealer regresspflichtig.

See for example:
http://www.ilexikon.net/k/kilobyte.htm and

Yours sincerely,
Detlef

If a laptop will cost 1024 euros, you can do so with 1 kilo euro
pay ... :-)
