“The Unfinished Film” project - Adobe invites you to remix with AI

Adobe, together with London filmmaker Sam Finn, has launched the community project "The Unfinished Film," which aims to explore the new creative freedoms made possible by AI. The basis is a short film generated by Sam Finn using AI, but still unfinished. The task for the creative community is to continue and complete it with their own ideas using Adobe&s Firefly.

Now, the ball is in the court of the creative community, which is invited to use Sam Finn&s material to remix, re-imagine, and complete the short film themselves, in order to realize their own unique versions.

The Unfinished Film

The project is intended to demonstrate how easy it is to realize creative ideas with AI. Firefly offers both Adobe&s own Firefly Video model and Runway&s Gen-4 Video, Luma AI Ray 2, Pika 2.2, and arguably the best video AI currently available, Google&s Veo3, which also integrates sound. Any scenery can be created with just a prompt, allowing the imagination to run wild.

Several artists, including VFX specialist Phil Cohen, Creative Director Noemie Pino, cinematographer Keenan Lam, designer Jad Kassis, and techno-optimist Rourke Heath, demonstrate what a completed version can look like. They have each created their own very different

versions of "The Unfinished Film".
