If you want to see a major Hollywood production up close and even earn money, you&ll soon have a good opportunity to do so. For a new installment of the sci-fi epic "The Hunger Games," 4,000 extras are now being sought. "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" (German title: "Tribute von Panem L – Der Tag bricht an"), whose original title can be found at www.imdb.com/de/title/tt32558705/, is a prequel to the previous films in the series and is scheduled to hit theaters next November. The story takes place 24 years before the first part of the series, on the morning of the 50th Hunger Games. The cast is top-notch as always, with Hollywood stars like Glenn Close, Ralph Fiennes, and Kieran Culkin participating. As with most of the previous installments in the series, Francis Lawrence is directing. ;) Szenen aus Hunger Games The Eick and Weber agency is looking for extras for some mass scenes via online casting. People of all ethnicities, countries of origin, genders, and age groups from zero to 80 years are wanted, who can participate in one to eight days of shooting. Babies, children, people of Chinese descent, disabled people with conspicuous scars, and people with basic military training are particularly in demand. The pay is roughly equivalent to the minimum wage for extras – at least if there are no major travel costs to Duisburg, as travel expenses, parking fees, and accommodation costs will not be reimbursed. Presumably, many fans of the series will be found who would participate for free. The basic daily wage is 129 euros gross per person per day of shooting (10 hours including a 45-minute break). ;) Szenen aus Hunger Games The 3-hour costume fitting will be compensated with a flat rate of 40 euros. However, potential interested parties are advised that shooting days can be long and strenuous and can last the entire day from early morning to late evening – including a lot of standing. Interested parties must also be prepared for the possibility that their hair may be cut. It is therefore advisable to let it grow from now on so that it can be cut to fit if necessary.
