Will Sony release a new cine flagship? After SonyAlphaRumors already rumored about an upcoming professional E-mount camera two weeks ago, Sony now underlines this rumor with its own video teaser on Youtube. The video shows similar interface as the VENICE and triggers the whole thing under the hashtag #newcinealta:

The VENICE is equipped with a 6K full-frame (36 x 24-mm) image sensor that supports the following frame rates when an HFR license is installed: - 120 fps in 4K Super35 2.39:1 (4096 x 1713). - 60 fps in 6K Full Frame 3:2 (6048 x 4032). - 72 fps in 4K Super35 4:3 for full 18mm height anamorphic (4096 x 3024). - 110 fps in 4K Super35 17:9 (4096 x 2160). An external recorder is also required for RAW/X-OCN recording. Looking at the competition, we can now speculate that 8K or higher frame rates at lower resolutions will probably be found on the spec sheet. An internal X-OCN recording would certainly help the format as well. Sony itself does not mention a specific date for further information, but the teaser can certainly be interpreted in a way that more information will be revealed in November - otherwise, the intention of this teaser would be somewhat misguided. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: 8K VENICE mit E-Mount?
