Blackmagic Design has released a comprehensive update, DaVinci Resolve 20.2.3, which once again brings performance improvements and workflow refinements. The most notable new feature is a significant speed increase for AI-powered functions on Intel GPUs. ;)
The following list shows the key new features in this version: Support for Blackmagic Raw SDK 5.1. Up to 4x faster Magic Mask, Depth Map, and Super Scale on Intel GPUs. Customizable keyboard action to show/hide the keyframe editor in the timeline. When pasting tracking data from the Spline panel, the spline shape is no longer reset. Workflow integration plugins are now retained across restarts. Data Burn-in respects the timecode display limit of 24 hours. Object masks are now invalidated when Edit and Input Sizing are changed. Fixed: An issue when trimming all clips below the playhead in Fairlight. Fixed: A potential audio playback issue when using the Mac trackpad. Decode support for WEBM and MKV clips with the VP8 video codec. Fixed: An issue when decoding some MP4 clips. Fixed: An issue when decoding some MKV FFV1 files. Fixed: An issue when loading templates with very large preview images. Fixed: Issues with Deep Images when proxy scaling and flipbook. Fixed: DCTL issues with some ACES 2.0 EOTFs. Action in the three-dot menu to reset all oscilloscope settings. General performance and stability improvements. With the support for Blackmagic Raw 5.1, the SDK and the firmware for the Video Assist Recorders have also been updated. This brought new cameras as well. The Blackmagic Video Assist 5” 12G HDR and Video Assist 7” 12G HDR now also support the Sony FX3 and FX30, as well as the Leica SL3-S. The update is available free of charge for existing DaVinci Resolve Studio users. Before installation, it is strongly recommended to perform a full backup of the project library as well as all individual projects. Projects that have been opened in version 20.2.3 can no longer be opened in older versions (such as 19.1.3).
