Adobe has released a Sneak-Peek video, which introduces a new feature for Photoshop to allow automatic selection of single or even multiple objects in an image. To be honest, we have expected such a function before, because in the AI scene there have been ideas circulating for quite some time about how deep learning algorithms can be used to free objects without the user having to define any object edges. A first demo video shows how easy it is to work with artificial intelligence at Adobe in the future:
The new tool called "Subject Select" or "Quick Mask" is planned for a forthcoming update of Photoshop CC, but no specific timeframe has yet been specified. Usually, functions presented by Adobe are already available with the upcoming version of the respective tool. We therefore expect the tool in the first version of Photoshop CC 2018...
