AJA has released several firmware updates for various models at IBC 2018, which provide numerous new functions. The v2.6 firmware/software for the real-time HDR/WCG converter FS-HDR brings improvements in color transformation (S-Log3/BT.2020 Output Dynamic Range and Gamut and ARRI Log C Output Dynamic Range and Gamut) as well as BBC HLG LUTs, upload of 3D LUTs, and the ability to connect four FS-HDR for 8K.
Firmware v3.0 for the H.264 Streaming Encoder HELO provides support for the latest Facebook protocols (RTMPE), improved HTTPS encryption, and better speech customization of HELO's web interface. Firmware v4.0 for the Ki Pro Ultra Plus ProRes/DNx recorder/player expands the recording customization options - it supports file names, timecode super out controls and audio channel mapping. All firmware updates will be available for free download from AJA this fall.
