Designed as a recording medium for use in the ALEXA Mini LF and ALEXA 35 cameras, the Codex Compact Drive offers write speeds of up to 16 Gbps (~2000 MB/s) - fast enough not to limit the recording formats of the ALEXA Mini LF and ALEXA 35. What&s New in the ALEXA Mini LF SUP 7.1.1 Update.- Support for Compact Drive 2TB: ALEXA Mini LF SUP 7.1.1 supports the new Compact Drive 2TB with the same maximum frame rates as the Compact Drive 1TB. ![]() ARRI Codex Compact Drive 2TB - Support for new firmware on Compact Drive 1TB: Using existing Compact Drives 1TB (Rev A and B) in the ALEXA 35 requires an update to a new firmware version. The ALEXA Mini LF does not require an update to the drive, but to support Compact Drives with this new firmware, the camera must be updated to ALEXA Mini LF SUP 7.1.1. - Support for Compact Drive 1TB (Rev C): ALEXA Mini LF SUP 7.1.1 supports the new Compact Drive 1TB (Rev C). This drive has the same performance as previous revisions, but does not require a firmware update to be used with the ALEXA 35. ![]() ALEXA Mini LF UpdatingALEXA Mini LF SUP 7.1.1 can be installed on all ALEXA Mini LF cameras already shipped. ARRI recommends updating from SUP 7.1 to SUP 7.1.1, so if the camera is not already using Mini LF SUP 7.1, update to version 7.1 before updating to 7.1.1. However, ARRI advises against updating a new SUP in the middle of a production. The release notes should also be read before updating.
