ARRI has released the latest version of its Stellar (iOS/Android) app, launched at IBC 2018, for intuitive and visual configuration and management of lighting settings via radio. The biggest innovation of Stellar 2 is the ability to control DMX-enabled fixtures from other manufacturers such as Litegear, Astera and Kino Flo. ![]() ARRI Stellar 2
The other new functions include the possibility of easily replacing headlamps that had to be removed from the network, for example due to a malfunction, by means of a new scan process and grouping headlamps with different colour temperature ranges. In addition, individual intensity values can now be saved as favorites in the app settings and used as the default intensity. In addition, for headlamps with RDM functionalities, their color temperature and mode information is displayed in the respective setups. ![]() ARRI Stellar 2 Support for other manufacturers The minor feature updates to Stellar 2 also include a warning before the end of the trial period; a smoother application of looks when no change in color mode is required; improved network handling; presets for different device types; and other usability, graphical display and stability improvements. ![]() ARRI Stellar 2 Exchange of lights Stellar offers numerous features for the intuitive and visual management of light settings via radio and is designed to meet the professional needs of the film set. Various lighting setups can be organized by projects and scenes via app. After creating a new scene, all ARRI lights that can be reached via radio are automatically detected and can be individually named and assigned to groups for easier control. To easily control complex lighting setups, an architectural overview graphic (Light Plot) of the respective scene can be imported into Stellar, on which all lights can then be arranged and thus controlled in a targeted manner. The lights are controlled wirelessly via WLAN, for example via a WLAN router connected to the lights via Ethernet cable (and connected to other lights via DMX) or via ARRI&s SkyLink radio system. ![]() ARRI Stellar 2 Support for other manufacturers ARRI Stellar 2 can be downloaded immediately from ![]() ![]() Bild zur Newsmeldung:
