Actually, it should have been on the market long ago, but as we all know, good things take time and the expectations for this camera are immense. In any case, ARRI has kept a very long low profile about its first S35-4K camera, whose ;) ARRI Alexa Mini Of course, we can&t say for sure if these are authentic, but would be about time. Appearently there will be several events worldwide, the first one on May 31 in New York and Los Angeles. Hopefully we will know in a week or so what ARRI&s developers have come up with to accommodate the increased sensor resolution without sacrificing ARRI&s typical dynamic range.
By the way, we published first thoughts about the new sensor and thus indirectly about the camera in our article on the occasion of  first known specifications - according to our calculations, the ARRI S35-4K should offer a 4.6~4.7K open gate sensor with a sensor size of just under 6.09µm. It will be exciting to see if this turns out to be true, what the camera will bring along and last but not least how much it will cost.
