ARRI has announced its support for the B-Mount as a universal 24 V battery interface standard. The B-Mount is a new open industry standard for battery interfaces developed by German battery specialist ![]()
B-Mount, as a new high-capacity 24 V industry standard, is therefore expected to provide a future-proof solution to this growing power demand of professional camera and lighting systems, as per B-Mount can potentially deliver three times more power than conventional 12 V systems. Since LED lighting is also powered by batteries, an industry standard makes sense for both cameras and lighting. ARRI has therefore already implemented the new B-mount battery interface in current ARRI cameras and lights, and will continue to do so in future models. The B-Mount standard is based on a universal protocol and is designed for robust construction in a compact form factor, and also offers seamless locking. ![]() Another advantage is the possibility for extended communication between the battery and camera or lighting equipment. This enables, for example, a very accurate display of the remaining runtime as well as the charging time. ![]() B-mount supporter Batteries with B-Mount can be freely produced by all battery manufacturers due to the open standardization - so well-known battery manufacturers like Blueshape, Core SWX, Fxlion, Hawk-Woods, IDX and SWIT are already working on products with B-Mount. Bebop itself had already become the first manufacturer to launch B-mount batteries at ![]() ![]() ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: ARRI unterstützt B-Mount als universelle 24-V-Akkuschnittstelle |
