With the ProArt PA32KCX, ASUS announced a professional 32-inch 8K studio monitor with impressive specifications at NAB 2024: The mini LED panel has a native resolution of 7680×4320 pixels and is said to boast a DCI-P3 color space coverage of 97 percent (with a DeltaE value of less than one). It manages 4,096 backlight zones, which can emit a peak brightness of up to 1200 cd/m². The continuous maximum brightness of the monitor is specified at 1,000 cd/m² in full screen mode, which should guarantee a DisplayHDR 1000 specification. ;) The ASUS ProArt PA32KCX 8K mini LED monitor with DisplayPort 2.1
The PA32KCX will also be one of the first 32-inch 8K monitors (7680×4320) with DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity standard. However, correspondingly equipped graphics cards are still a rarity. Nvidia does not currently have any DisplayPort 2.0 or 2.1 graphics cards on the market and the current flagship RTX 4090 still only supports DisplayPort 1.4a at most. AMD&s Radeon Pro W7800/7900 workstation cards, on the other hand, are the only available models that already have DisplayPort 2.1 in full expansion. DisplayPort 2.0 features are already supported by many current AMD cards, some AMD APUs and the new Intel CPUs. The monitor also has an HDMI 2.1-compatible port and two Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C ports, which can provide a total output of up to 96 W. As already known from other professional ASUS displays, there is a motorized flip colorimeter on the lower bezel, which can be extended for colour calibration. The color accuracy can be maintained automatically or manually. ASUS is also highlighting its "LuxPixel" technology, which is said to offer "anti-glare, low-reflection and eye-saving functions for improved user comfort". ;) The ASUS ProArt PA32KCX 8K Mini LED Monitor with DisplayPort 2.1 ASUS has not announced official pricing or a release date for the PA32KCX, but an asking price of around ,000 has been rumored.
