Atomos will present an updated version of its ATOMOSphere cloud platform at IBC 2025, enhanced with new features for mobile use, automatic transcription, and seamless upload workflows. The improvements are aimed at professional video users who work in the cloud and want to store, share, and collaboratively edit their media content efficiently. Revised Mobile User InterfaceA key update concerns the user interface of ATOMOSphere, which has now been specifically optimized for iOS and Android devices. The mobile version includes an integrated media player and allows direct uploading of clips via smartphones – a feature that should be of particular interest to mobile journalists, content creators, or small production teams.
;) ATOMOSphere Despite the mobile focus, according to Atomos, no functionality has been sacrificed compared to the desktop version. Rather, the user interface has been adapted to remain intuitive to use on smaller screens. Automatic Transcription with Axle AIAnother highlight is the automatic speech recognition through the integration of Axle AI. This feature is part of the paid ATOMOSphere memberships. Video recordings are transcribed by the Axle Speech module, which supports multiple languages. The transcription is displayed in sync with the video material in the player, which not only simplifies the searchability but also the editorial processing – for example, in post-production or for the creation of subtitles. Extended Upload OptionsATOMOSphere now supports various upload workflows that can be flexibly integrated into different production environments: - Drag-and-drop upload of media content via PC or SD cards. - Direct upload from the camera via cloud-enabled Atomos recorders such as Ninja or Shogun. - Mobile upload via iPhones with the Ninja Phone extension in combination with the Mavis Camera App – the material is transferred directly to the cloud when recording starts.
