Acer has introduced the XV431CP, a new ultra-wide monitor in 32:9 format. Its 43.8" (111.3cm) IPS panel has 10-bit color depth (8-bit plus FRC) and a Double-FullHD UltraWide resolution of 3,840 x 1,080 pixels at a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. The Acer XV431CP from the Nitro XV1 line of gaming monitors is identical to the ![]() ![]() The XV431CP is advertised with an improved response time of 1ms (Moving Picture Response Time - MPRT) via "Visual Response Boost" (VRB), but this should not be confused with the usual Grey-to-Grey response time (GtG), because it leads to reduced brightness and cannot be used together with FreeSync. The interfaces of the XV431CP include an HDMI 1.4 and an HDMI 2.0 port as well as a DisplayPort 1.2 - the latter two support the maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, the former only a maximum of 60Hz. ![]() Acer Nitro XV1 XV431CP For better ergonomics, the Acer XV431CP can be adjusted 95mm in height using its ErgoStand stand legs, as well as swiveled 15° or tilted 5° forward or 15° backward. For eye protection, the 43XV1C P features BlueLightShield and Flickerless technology to reduce both the blue light component of light and flicker.
