Adobe has released a Firefly app for iOS and Android, allowing Adobe&s generative AI to be used not only via the web but also on mobile devices. Firefly acts as a kind of universal visual AI portal, as images and videos can be generated not only using Adobe&s own Firefly AI, but also using numerous popular models from other providers. Firefly as an Interface to Many Image/Video AIsIn addition to the best current model (Veo 3 from Google), Google&s Veo 2, Luma AI&s Ray2, and Pika 2.2 are available for creating videos via AI. Images can be generated via OpenAI&s GPT-Image-1, Google&s Imagen 3 and 4, as well as Black Forest Labs Flux 1.1 Pro and Flux.1 Kontext, Gen-4 Image from Runway, and Ideogram 3.0. This makes almost all major image/video AI models – with the exception of the Chinese ones – available under one interface. Creatives can easily experiment with the various AIs and compare and combine their results for an optimal outcome.
;) Functions for Generating, Expanding, and MoreFirefly not only offers functions for generating images and videos via text prompt or videos from images, but also the ability to expand images, seamlessly remove image content or add new objects, use the style and/or composition of uploaded reference images, adjust color, lighting, camera angle, and hue, or create images based on 3D scenes via Scene to Image (Beta). Via the web app, creatives can also generate vectors and design templates, create text effects, generate sound effects, and translate audio into new languages. Further functions are to be added during the month, namely the ability to translate videos into different languages, create videos with virtual avatars, improve the audio quality in videos, and synchronize audio and video clips with the sound of one&s own voice. Firefly BoardsAlready integrated into Firefly, but still in public beta, are the Firefly Boards, which offer an interface for moodboarding, storyboarding, brainstorming, and exploring creative concepts, with which creatives can collaborate across different media types using AI-supported video and image editing to develop ideas. ;) The content created in the Firefly app is automatically synchronized with the Creative Cloud account, making it easy to start a project in the app and then continue on the web or in desktop tools like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro. AI Transparency and Content CredentialsTo ensure transparency and protect the rights of creators, Firefly automatically attaches Content Credentials to AI-generated content, which clearly indicates whether Adobe Firefly models or models from partners were used. Adobe&s own Firefly AI models are unique in their legal certainty, as they are the only AI trained only with legal material (i.e., with Adobe Stock images, openly licensed works, and public domain content) and not with any images/videos from the web. This is intended to prevent generated content from infringing on the copyrights of others and thus exclude the risk of a warning notice. ;) Prices and AvailabilityFirefly Mobile is now available for iOS and Android in the App Store and Google Play Store. The web and mobile applications of Firefly as well as the latest features are also available as part of the Creative Cloud Pro plan. Firefly is available for free, but only with a few so-called Generative Credits, which are needed to use the various AI models. For serious use, several monthly cancellable subscription models are available: - Firefly Standard for around 11 euros per month with 2,000 Generative Credits per month (which should be enough to generate up to 200 sound effects, translate 6 minutes of audio or video, or 20 five-second video clips with AI models from other services) - Firefly Pro for around 33 euros/month with 7,000 Credits (sufficient for approximately 70 five-second clips with AI models from other services) - Firefly Premium for around 220 euros per month for 50,000 Generative Credits (only here can Adobe&s video AI be used in addition to the AI models of other services) In the annual subscription, the individual subscriptions are slightly cheaper (approximately the price of 10 monthly subscriptions).
