With today&s June updates for Photoshop and Lightroom, Adobe is making the latter software more video-friendly. Video clips can now be imported and edited just like photos.
Editing settings can be copied and pasted between photos and videos, creating a unified aesthetic for both photos and videos. Presets, including premium presets and Lightroom&s AI-powered recommended presets, can also be used for video.
Mind you, this doesn&t turn Lightroom into an editing program, as a timeline is still missing. Only the beginning and end of a clip can be trimmed. Rather, this functionality is intended for those in the photo community who also shoot moving images from time to time and want to tweak the look of them in their familiar environment.
Among the five new Premium Preset Packs, there is also a "creative" one specifically for video. These presets were created by Stu Maschwitz.
