RED&s CEO Jarred Land continues to teasert droplets of pictures to the
RED Komodo camera, probably also to steal some attention from the new competition of Blackmagics just introduced
Pocket Cinema Camera 6K.
In the last few days he has published new info in two more
Instagram-Posts. On the first photo you can see a part of the front side of the camera with the Canon R / RF mount, on the second the back side with an SDI output, a Lemo power socket, a record button and two batteries. The Canon RF-Mount gives the new camera the nice possibility to use a drop-in Vario ND filter.

The picture thus becomes more complete bit by bit - the previously known interfaces already include a mini jack microphone input and a headphone output as well as (presumably) one (or more) CFast slots. What is still missing on interfaces? What&s clear is that the Komodo Cam is rather compact, records a maximum of 6K and costs a little over 5,000 dollars - and has no HDMI and XLR.
There is still no further information about the role of the RED Hydrogen One/Two Smartphone in combination with the new camera - is it used for control or /and as a display?
