Apple has sent out the invitations for its traditional September special event and the Apple homepage now also contains the announcement of the event for September 12 at 7:00 p.m. At the Apple special event in September, the focus is usually on the new iPhone and accordingly speculation is sprouting everywhere about what innovations can be expected. ![]()
The presentation of the new iPhone 15 with its different equipment variants (Standard and Pro) and the different sizes (Max, Standard, Plus) is considered certain. It should be particularly exciting here with regard to a possible new processor (A17 Bionic?). This could be the first CPU developed in the 3nm process (apart from 3nm crypto miners) and thus have plenty of potential for improvements. ![]() Thus, a 3nm chip should need less battery power and at the same time deliver even more performance than Apple&s already quite performant A16 Bionic chip, which is currently built in the 5nm process. According to tech experts, the camera unit from Sony will probably also get a bigger update with a so-called periscope lens. The longer beam path enables longer focal lengths and thus a stronger, maximum optical magnification. While the iPhone 14 could optically magnify up to a maximum of 3x so far, 5-6x telephoto magnification could become possible. ![]() We also find the possibility that Apple could equip its new iPhones with USB-C/Thunderbolt ports exciting and thus comply with an EU directive. This could make modular solutions between iPhone and DSLM - from monitoring to external recording/streaming - a bit easier. We can also well imagine the AI-based further development of the cinema function with even more precise object masking as well as 4K 50/60p options. And AI is known to be a very broad field for optimizing image content. Dynamics, lowlight behavior, stabilization and much more should be able to increase significantly with more AI power. ![]() See also ![]() ![]() More about the Apple event soon on slashCAM ... ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Apple lädt zum Special Event am 12.
