Aputure has launched the LS (Light Storm) 600x Pro, a bi-color version of its 600W LED daylight luminaire LS 600x. The LS 600x Pro has a bi-color range of 2700K to 6500K and delivers a high output of 600 watts (720 W power draw) while maintaining color accuracy with CRI and TLCI values of ≥96. Equipped with the Hyper reflector, the 600x Pro can emit 5,610 lux at 3 meters, and with the F10 Fresnel modifier, it can even achieve an illuminance of 18,5100 lux at 3 meters in a 15° spot (both at 5,600K).
Aputure LS 600x Pro
The LS 600x Pro can be dimmed in 0.1% increments from 0-100% - unlike HMI luminaires. It has two output modes: max output and constant output mode. In Constant Output mode, the luminance remains uniform while the CCT output changes. In Max Output mode, the output is always maximized for the selected CCT and dimming level.
The LS 600x Pro features an LCD user interface that displays important information, including easy-to-read intensity and color information. It can be remotely controlled via Aputure&s own 2.4 GHz remote control, via Bluetooth using Aputure&s Mesh Sidus Link app via smartphone or tablet, or Wireless DMX. The LS 600x Pro is also the first Aputure fixture to simultaneously support sACN, ArtNet and LumenRadio CRMX. The Sidus Mesh works up to 400 meters away - even in conjunction with other fixtures such as the Aputure LS C300d II, LS 300x, Accent B7c, MC and Nova P300c.

Using the Bowens mount, softboxes, egg crates, light domes or other equipment such as Aputure&s F10 Fresnel - whether from Aputure or third-party suppliers such as DoPchoice and Chimera Lighting - can be used on the LS 600x. Like other lights from Aputure, the 600x has built-in lighting effects: Paparazzi, Fireworks, Flash, Defective Bulb, TV, Pulsing, Strobe, Explosion and Fire.
The LS 600x Pro&s controller has four battery plates for V-Mount and Gold Mount 14.4V, 26V, and 28.8V batteries, which both serve as a power source and, conveniently, can be charged when plugged in.
When using four 310W V-Lock batteries, run time is approximately 1 1/2 hours. External power sources are connected to the controller via 48V (15A) 3-pin XLR. Another practical feature of the LS 600x Pro is the protection against splashing water and dust according to the IP54 certification, which applies to both the lamp, the cables and the controller.
The cable to the light from the power supply has been extended to 7.5 meters (on the LS 600D it was only 3 meters long). The Aputure LS 600x Pro, available in either V-Monut or A-Mount versions, is scheduled to ship in the fourth quarter of 2021, with a U.S. list price of around ,000.
