Aputure has introduced new versions of its Light Dome softboxes with some clever updates. The larger 90cm Light Dome III softbox works with the entire Light Storm series as well as the Amaran 150c & 300c lights. The smaller Light Dome III (60cm) is aimed at lights with max 600W output.
Both softboxes are equipped with a standard Bowens mount and should therefore also fit corresponding lights from other manufacturers. The special feature of the Aputure 3 Light Dome versions is a Bowens Mount that folds flat for transport. This means that the softbox should take up much less space during transport.
Aputure also points out that the setup time could be reduced even further. We already found the previous version to be quite quick to set up. We are looking forward to the first handling tests.
