The STORM 400x is a new 400W LED point light source that uses Aputure&s BLAIR light engine, which offers adjustable white light with a wide CCT range as well as a wide CCT and full ASC-MITC range with +/- green adjustment.
;) Aputure STORM 400x Unlike the widely used RGBWW lights, the BLAIR module does not contain white LEDs, but - similar to the sun - generates white light by mixing the other colors, more precisely a combination of blue, lime, amber, indigo and red LEDs (Blue, Lime, Amber, Indigo, Red), thus achieving a higher brightness than before. According to Aputure, its light output should correspond to or even exceed that of many COB lights with 500 W and 600 W. The beam angle of the STORM 400x without attached light modifiers is 57 degrees. In combination with the also new CF7 Fresnel, whose beam angle can be steplessly adjusted from 15° spot to 40° flood, its intensity and range can be further increased: from 27,100 lux to up to 236,700 lux (each at 5600K at 1 m). ;) Aputure STORM 400x In addition to a wide coverage of the CCT (Color Correlated Temperature) spectrum from 2500 K to 10,000 K, it also enables detailed green control and thus a fine adjustment of the color temperature and precise control over the light color. The lockable Bowens mount (ProLock Bowens mount) offers a more robust way to attach light modifiers than the conventional sliding buttons and allows the attachment of even heavy light shapers. Thanks to the IP65 protection class, the 3.95 kg Aputure STORM 400x (light head including bracket) is completely dustproof and protected against water jets from all directions and is therefore also designed for outdoor use in harsh conditions. ;) Aputure STORM 400x The Aputure STORM 400x is also capable of outputting saturated colors over more than 70% of the Rec.2020 color space, which can be controlled in Limited HSIC+ and x,y modes. Of course, the noise level of the STORM 400x is also important for many productions. It varies greatly with the mode used, i.e. the light intensity: the noise of the fan at a distance of one meter should be 36 dBA in Smart mode, 33 dBA in High mode, 29 dB in Medium mode and 0 dBA in Silent mode.
