Asus has introduced the ProArt P16 (H7606), a new notebook specifically for professional video creators, which can also serve as a mobile workstation for 4K and 8K productions. It is equipped (in its maximum configuration) with the currently most powerful mobile CPU and GPU, namely the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with 12 cores and 24 threads, as well as the RTX 5090 with 24 GB of GDDR7 VRAM. ![]() Asus ProArt P16
AMD Ryzen Processor and MemoryAt the heart of the ProArt P16 is the new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor based on ZEN 5 with up to 12 cores and 24 threads – supported by an AMD RDNA 3.5 graphics unit and an NPU with 50 TOPS AI performance. Through its use, the P16 offers more than 4.5 times as much NPU power, which is used, for example, for AI-supported photo optimization, speech-to-text, auto-framing and intelligent scene recognition. The main memory can be configured with up to 64 GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM, and a PCIe 4.0 SSD with up to 4 TB, which can be upgraded, serves as fixed storage. Nvidia RTX 50 Series Graphics CardThe configurable RTX 50 Series GPUs enable complete desktop video acceleration even on the go through two hardware decoders and three NVENC encoders for 4K/8K encoding and decoding, more VRAM and GDDR7, AI Tensor Cores for accelerated effects such as denoising, upscaling or auto-reframe in real time, and an AV1 Ultra High Quality mode for better compression. For the first time, an RTX 5090 with 24 GB of GDDR7 VRAM can also be integrated, which gives the ProArt P16 a graphics performance at desktop level. Asus P16 models with RTX 5070 or higher support up to three external 8K displays at 60 Hz or two at 8K/60 Hz plus another at 8K/120 Hz – a real unique selling point. ![]() Asus ProArt P16 Asus Lumina Pro OLED DisplayFor a creator notebook, the display quality is of course very important in addition to the computing power. The ProArt P16 is the first laptop equipped with the new Asus Lumina Pro OLED display, the currently most advanced OLED panel from Asus. It offers a brightness of up to 1,000+ nits, high sharpness thanks to over 240 PPI, a large contrast ratio (1,000,000:1) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz with VRR technology. Thanks to 100% DCI-P3 color space, Pantone validation and factory calibration to Delta E < 1, the color representation is very precise. New is also an anti-reflection coating, which reduces reflections by 65 percent and should thus also enable working in the open air. The ProArt P16 is only 14.9 mm high and weighs 1.95 kilograms, its case meets the US military standard MIL-STD-810H and can withstand extreme temperatures, shocks and humidity. ![]() Asus ProArt P16 Display Asus AI Tools: StoryCube and MuseTreeStoryCube is an AI-based Digital Asset Management Tool that automatically recognizes scenes, sorts content and prepares GoPro clips directly for social media, for example. MuseTree is an AI-supported image generation tool that runs locally on the GPU and creates images from text or sketches – with significantly more details than NPU-based tools. All creations remain local on the device – there is no upload to cloud databases.
