Asus has announced that the new ZenBook 13 OLED model , which was unveiled at CES 2021, is now available. Its standout feature, which makes it particularly qualified for professional video editing, is its Pantone validated 13-3" OLED display.
This has a FullHD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which thanks to the use of OLED technology (i.e. each pixel corresponds to an OLED and can be controlled individually) has a VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification, can display true black and covers the DCI-P3 color space 100%. The brightness of the display is 400 nits, which is slightly above average. Due to the almost bezel-less design, the screen-to-body ration, i.e. the ratio of the display area to the total area, is 88%.

Asus ZenBook 13 OLED features. The maximum CPU that can be configured is an Intel i7-1165G7 of the latest 11th generation with 4 cores and a turbo clock of 4.70 GHz. The working memory can be equipped with a maximum of 32 GB LPDDR4 RAM, the mass storage with a maximum of a 1 TB PCIe M.2 NVMe SSD. Due to its very compact design (it also weighs only 1,110 grams), the ZenBook 13 OLED does not have a dedicated CPU, though, which means you have to make do with the Intel Iris Plus GPU integrated into the CPU. Thus, it depends on the personal workflow and the programs, formats and filters used whether this solution is sufficient for video editing (or whether you have to work with proxies as an alternative).
The ZenBook 13 OLED (model name UX325EA) has a battery that allows up to 13 hours of runtime. Its interface selection includes two Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C ports, a USB 3.2 Gen.1 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.0b port, and a MicroSD card slot.

It is equipped with a NumberPad 2.0, which means the touchpad turns into an LED-illuminated numeric keypad when desired. In addition, the keyboard is particularly large due to the edge-to-edge design and offers additional space for a number of function keys on the right side.
The ZenBook 13 OLED (UX325EA) is available now starting at 999 Euros.
Alternative: ZenBook 13 OLED with AMD Ryzen CPU. Announced but not yet available is a version of the ZenBook 13 OLED with AMD Ryzen CPU (UM325UA), which can be configured to the maximum with a Ryzen 7 5800U including an integrated GPU. This version has a longer runtime of up to 16 hours, but can only be equipped with a maximum of 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD and comes without Thunderbolt 4, but with a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C interface, one USB Type-A, HDMI 2.0b, and a microSD card reader.
