In addition to new desktop monitors from the ProArt and ROG series, Asus has also presented three new compact and portable ZenScreen displays at CES 2023, which are interesting for professional video editing, for example to increase the desktop area when working on the move with a notebook. The new models are the 16" ZenScreen MB16QHG with a resolution of 2,560 × 1,600, the 17" ZenScreen MB17AHG with FullHD resolution and the largest model to date, the 24" ZenScreen MB249C.

The 16-inch ZenScreen MB16QHG portable monitor with ultra-slim design offers a 16:10 resolution of 2,560 × 1,600 and is well suited for creative work due to its 100% coverage of the professional DCI-P3 colour space. HDR can be displayed according to the VESA DisplayHDR 400 standard. Its special feature is the high refresh rate of 120 Hz, which leads to smoother animations in videos, games and even daily work.
The ZenScreen MB16QHG - like the entire ZenScreen series from Asus - is aimed at use as a secondary display with a notebook. That&s why the MB16QHG can be adjusted to the inclination of the notebook screen via a kickstand with a variable stand angle of 0° to 90°. The display edges are kept very thin so that the display can be placed as seamlessly as possible against the laptop screen.

Among other things, the ZenScreen MB16QHG offers two USB Type-C ports, both of which are wired for display signals and charging the display. Since these are placed on opposite sides of the display, it is always possible to place a laptop close to it on one side without the cable getting in the way. The display ports are complemented by an HDMI and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack for headsets.
Asus ZenScreen MB17AHG
The ZenScreen MB17AHG has the same kickstand as well as interfaces as the MB16QHG, but is slightly larger at 17.3" and also has a higher refresh rate of 144 Hz, via FreeSync Premium technology this is also variable. The resolution of the 16:9 panel is, however, smaller than the classic FullHD.

The monitor settings can be made user-friendly on the PC with the help of the Asus DisplayWidget app. All settings of the monitor&s on-screen display (OSD) as well as the ASUS-exclusive features of the MB17AHG are available in the app - conveniently and easily with mouse and keyboard.
Asus ZenScreen MB249C
The 23.8" ZenScreen MB249C - the largest model in the range to date - is a quasi-mobile desktop screen weighing just 2.8kg and measuring 17.7mm thick. The stand for transport can also be used as a carrying handle, and for stationary mounting it offers a choice of display mounts, such as a C-clamp stand for mounting on the edge of a desk; a versatile arm with Z-axis adjustment for ergonomic positioning; or a partition hook kit to attach the ZenScreen MB249C to a nearby partition in a space-saving manner. A USB Type-C port with 60 W USB Power Delivery is available as an interface.
